| On behalf of our investors Difko's wind department has participated in projects totalling more than 1,100 turbines. Our first project was the development of nine wind farms in California in the 1980's and 1990's.
After the USA "wind rush", Difko focused on expanding and growing its shipping and real estate activities.
In 2002 Difko decided once again to include wind turbines in our portfolio of investment products.
Our participation in the Samsoe Nearshore Wind Farm in 2002 made us the first financial institution to enter the offshore/nearshore wind industry. Since then we have focused our resources on on-shore activities. We currently operate approximately 120 MW.
To strenghten our ability to manage the growing volume of projects Difko has increased its staff within administration and technical supervision of projects.
